Position Type: Full-time – Consultant Radiation Oncologist

Salary: Up to Β£250,000+ per year depending on experience, location, and package structure.

About the Opportunity

Join a progressive oncology service delivering comprehensive cancer care within state-of-the-art radiation oncology departments. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams including Medical Oncology, Haematology, Surgery, and Palliative Care, providing advanced cancer treatment using modern radiotherapy technologies and evidence-based care pathways. Opportunities exist in both metropolitan and regional centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage oncology patients requiring radiotherapy
  • Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cancer meetings
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and clinical governance
  • Support service development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • FRCR (Clinical Oncology), FRANZCR, American/Canadian Board Certification, or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Eligibility for specialist registration in Australia
  • Experience in a tertiary cancer centre or teaching hospital preferred
  • UK-trained Clinical Oncologists encouraged to apply
