Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate carer to support a young person with complex medical and physical needs. The individual has a rare genetic neurocognitive and growth disorder, is non-mobile and non-verbal, and requires full support with daily care. They receive all nutrition and medication via a gastrostomy tube and require daily chest physiotherapy due to aspiration lung disease. The role also involves supporting epilepsy and dystonia management, including recognising and responding appropriately to different seizure types. Despite significant care needs, the individual enjoys listening to stories, being sung to, attending a specialist school, and spending time with family. This position would suit someone patient, reliable and attentive, with experience or a willingness to learn complex care routines and a genuine commitment to providing safe, nurturing and person-centred support.
