£14.20 - £16.00 per hour plus 45p mileage. Care By Us (Part of the CCH Group) is looking for full‑time and part‑time Respite Support Workers to join our dedicated team across Hertfordshire. We offer flexible Monday–Friday shifts that help you maintain a healthy work‑life balance.

Work Locations (Hertfordshire)
West & Central Herts: Watford, Three Rivers, Hemel Hempstead (HP1, HP2, HP3), Tring, Potten End, Bovingdon, Kings Langley, Pepperstock, Markyate, St Albans (AL3), and Welwyn Garden City (AL7)
East Herts: Ware, Stanstead Abbotts (SG12), Cheshunt, Goffs Oak (EN7)

Job Description
In this vital role, you will provide temporary relief to primary caregivers, maintaining the client’s normal routine and ensuring day‑to‑day living continues as if with their own family. Your tasks include creating a natural, comforting, and inclusive environment—sharing meals, chatting over tea, or attending community activities so caregivers can rest.

Responsibilities

  • Family‑Style Support: integrate into clients’ daily life and routine, providing companionship and emotional support
  • Personal Care: assist with washing, dressing, toileting and feeding with dignity
  • Household Support: cook, prepare meals, do laundry and light housework to keep the home running smoothly
  • Community Inclusion: encourage participation in hobbies and assist with community activities to broaden horizons
  • Medication: administer or assist with drug regimes as directed by care plans

Qualifications

  • Genuine desire to help others with patience, empathy and compassion
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship offered)
