Responsibilities
- Provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs
- Support daily living and light domestic tasks
- Organise a range of social and sensory activities – messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos
- Deliver care in line with an individualized care plan
- Perform tracheostomy care, ventilation support, and PEG feeding for hydration
- Execute specialist moving and handling due to spinal instability
- Receive regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse provided by Advantage Healthcare London branch
Qualifications
- Experience working in a complex care setting
- Experience in moving and handling
- Experience in tracheostomy and PEG feeding care
- Experience caring for a ventilated child
- Experience with suctioning
- Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive the required vehicle due to location
