Job Description

Our client is a child with a complex neuromuscular condition who requires a kind, caring, and engaging support worker to provide overnight assistance within the family home. Our client has a medical history that includes significant early health challenges and ongoing enzyme therapy, which is currently showing positive improvements in strength and development.

Support is required during the night to ensure our client’s safety, comfort, and reassurance. The role involves being attentive and interactive when needed, responding appropriately to care needs, and helping to maintain a calm environment. Our client enjoys conversation, social interaction, toys, and screen-based activities, and communicates verbally with additional support through visual prompts and Makaton.

The successful applicant will be patient, reliable, and compassionate, helping our client and family feel safe and supported throughout the night. Experience with complex needs is desirable, though a caring and confident approach is essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 care.
  • Supporting with mobility, communication, and personal care.
  • Delivering clinical care in a variety of complex needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience with PEG feeding required.
