Advantage Engineering Solutions Ltd are a BS EN 1090 EXC2 steel fabrication company based in Mansfield Woodhouse.
Due to an ongoing busy order book, we require a fabricator welder to join our team.
This is a fast paced environment where we pride ourselves in meeting tight deadlines to keep our customer base happy.
The role is mainly workshop based but from time to time, there will be site installation work when required.
The work is extremely varied, ranging from skips to platforms to beam work to brackets.
We have a very varied customer base and therefore produce a wide range of fabricated products.
Overtime is often available but not guaranteed. Rates are x1.5 in the week and on /Saturdays with any Sundays at x2
Duties
- Operate welding equipment to perform welding on various materials.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, with a strong emphasis on MIG welding techniques.
- TIG welding skills would be advantageous.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and steel fabrication techniques.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A past history of welder codings would be a positive as weld tests will be required
- Full UK Driving Licence
We would ask that you have a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
