Senior Healthcare Assistant | Norwich and Wider Areas | Flexible Shifts | £17£23 per hour
Advantage Angels is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care team, working across care homes in Norwich and the surrounding area. This is a role for someone who leads by example someone residents trust and junior staff look to for guidance delivering compassionate, person-centred care while helping keep the home running smoothly on shift.
Pay ranges from £17£23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, protecting residents' dignity and independence at every step
- Leading and supporting junior care staff on shift, setting the tone for a positive, well-run team
- Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, medication support, and meals
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date records care plan updates, incident reports, handover notes
- Acting as a key point of contact between residents, families, and the wider care team
- Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing through genuine companionship and meaningful activities
- Upholding health and safety standards, including infection control
- Sharing your expertise to help train and develop the wider care team
What we're looking for
- Experience working in a care home setting, specifically in senior/supervisory care
- Proven leadership experience within a healthcare environment
- Confidence building and applying individual xsabvtc care plans
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and colleagues
- Comfortable using IT systems for documentation and reporting
- A full driving licence is desirable but not essential
