Advantage Angels is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care team, working across care homes in Norwich and the surrounding area. This is a role for someone who leads by example, someone residents trust and junior staff look to for guidance, delivering compassionate, person-centred care while helping keep the home running smoothly on shift.

Pay ranges from £17 to £23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, protecting residents' dignity and independence at every step.
  • Leading and supporting junior care staff on shift, setting the tone for a positive, well-run team.
  • Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, medication support, and meals.
  • Keeping accurate, up-to-date records - care plan updates, incident reports, handover notes.
  • Acting as a key point of contact between residents, families, and the wider care team.
  • Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing through genuine companionship and meaningful activities.
  • Upholding health and safety standards, including infection control.
  • Sharing your expertise to help train and develop the wider care team.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working in a care home setting, specifically in senior/supervisory care.
  • Proven leadership experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Confidence building and applying individual care plans.
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Comfortable using IT systems for documentation and reporting.
  • A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
