Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met.
- Responsible to take and interpret readings on various equipment assessing any variation to standard troubleshooting and taking action to redress and bring process back to standard.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- 2 years minimum experience in an industrial/manufacturing and/or chemical plant industry
Additional Qualifications:
- 1 year Chemical Operations background/experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to work on a 12 hour rotating shift schedule
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate a fork truck
- Ability to perform the physical labor associated with the job
- Possess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
- Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet
- Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe work space based on following standard work
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates
- Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protection equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) – full face respirator & hood
- Ability to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars
- Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization
- Computer literate
The hourly rate for this position is $31.67. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan. Hired applicants will be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings account eligibility, employer-provided short term disability benefits, eligibility to purchase long term disability benefits, employer-provided basic life insurance and eligibility to purchase voluntary life coverages. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
