The Security Architect is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining, governing and evolving secure enterprise architectures across Advania's Managed Services client base. The role provides strategic and technical leadership across identity, security, cloud, infrastructure, networking, data protection and operational security domains, with a particular focus on Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Azure and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead Security Architect across assigned Managed Services clients.
  • Define security strategies, roadmaps, target architectures, and governance standards.
  • Produce and assure HLDs, LLDs, and reference architectures aligned to Zero Trust and Secure by Design principles.
  • Lead architecture for Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Identity Governance, PIM, Conditional Access, SSO, Federation, and B2B/B2C identity.
  • Provide architectural ownership across the Microsoft security stack, including Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Intune, Security Copilot, Azure Security, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance.
  • Develop reusable security patterns for identity, threat, data protection, monitoring, compliance, and AI security.
  • Design secure architectures across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
  • Lead integration of identity, security, network, and business application platforms.
  • Support customer onboarding, service acceptance, operational readiness, and ongoing technical governance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CISOs, and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead architecture workshops, security assessments, and transformation programmes.
  • Contribute to the development of Managed Security Services, standards, frameworks, and emerging security capabilities.

  • Deliver reusable architecture patterns across Microsoft security technologies.
  • Support business growth through architecture-led consultancy and managed service opportunities.

Qualification & Experience

  • Experience in Security Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Cyber Security Consulting.
  • Strong expertise in Zero Trust, security governance, threat modelling, risk management, and cloud security.
  • Advanced Microsoft security experience across Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Intune, Azure Security, and Microsoft 365 Security.
  • Deep IAM expertise including SSO, MFA, Federation, PIM, Identity Governance, and Hybrid Identity.
  • Strong client-facing consultancy experience with executive stakeholder engagement.

Desirable

  • Managed Services, SOC integration, AI security, DevSecOps, and multi-cloud security experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, Cyber Essentials, GDPR, DORA, and FCA/PRA frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SC-100, SC-300, SC-200, AZ-500, or AZ-305.
