Overview
In this role you drive end-to-end infrastructure projects for our Managed Services portfolio, from discovery and design through delivery and handover. You will lead technical work across core infrastructure and provide senior, customer-facing consultancy. You’ll solve complex problems, validate scopes and estimates, and guide small teams to successful outcomes. This position combines hands-on delivery with technical leadership in a hybrid-working environment, supporting transformation for diverse client environments.

Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure projects from discovery to handover
- Deliver hands-on work across AD, Group Policy, Windows Server, Azure, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, Azure Virtual Desktop, security and tooling
- Support data centre migration and decommissioning
- Review scopes, assumptions and effort estimates for realism
- Provide senior customer-facing consultancy throughout project delivery
- Solve complex technical issues and guide project decisions
- Lead small work packages or engineering teams to ensure quality delivery
Key requirements
- Strong end-to-end infrastructure project delivery experience
- Deep hands-on expertise across AD, Group Policy, Windows Server, Azure and VMware
- Experience with storage, backup/recovery, Azure Virtual Desktop, security and management tooling
- Proven ability to manage data centre migrations and transformations
- Strong design and problem-solving skills translating client needs into solutions
- Experience reviewing scopes and effort estimates for realism
- Customer-facing consultancy and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead small teams and provide technical direction
- Good understanding of infrastructure security and handover requirements
