We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Finance function in London. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work within an established and scaling private-equity backed tech business, assisting and advising on a range of corporate and indirect tax matters.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £70,000 and £80,000 a year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including tax calculations, returns and disclosures.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisers and authorities, group tax teams and liaising with HMRC when necessary.
  • Support tax risk management and tax planning activities and keep up to date with local tax legislation.
  • Dealing with compliance across multiple tax areas, including VAT, PAYE, CT, WHT, Transfer Pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory filing obligations.
  • Lead the tax relevant work around acquisitions, restructurings and other corporate transactions.
  • Develop internal controls around different areas of tax to foster a high performance culture.

  • Ensure that Advania UK remains tax compliant.
  • Ensuring that tax calculations, returns and disclosures are made accurately and within deadlines.
  • Working collaboratively and constructively with the stakeholders in the business across tax risk management and tax planning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
  • Significant corporate tax and indirect tax experience within a practice or industry setting.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical matters and communicate clearly.
  • Ideally experience of working within a large multi-entity or group environment.
