Position Overview
As a Senior Manager Technical Accounting and Tax you will be responsible for technical accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance and regulatory governance.
Within the role, you will provide specialist expertise on accounting standards and tax matters while ensuring compliance with all external reporting obligations.

Responsibilities
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including tax calculations, returns and disclosures.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisers and authorities, group tax teams.
- Support tax risk management and tax planning activities and keep up to date with local tax legislation.
- Deal with compliance across multiple tax areas, including VAT, PAYE, CT, WHT, Transfer Pricing.
- Act as the technical accounting lead for the organisation.
- Determine accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and accounting policy guidance.
- Monitor developments in IFRS, local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate annual reporting requirements across legal entities.
- Manage external audit deliverables and technical accounting discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory filing obligations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain accounting policy documentation and governance frameworks.
- Support control reviews relating to statutory reporting and taxation.
- Assess and mitigate accounting and tax risks.
- Support acquisitions, restructurings and other corporate transactions.
- Lead implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Provide technical input into finance transformation initiatives.
- What Success Looks Like
- Create corporate tax returns filed within statutory deadlines.
- Consolidated group position of all tax filing deadlines across the group & communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish IFRS risk & compliance register.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA preferred, ACCA acceptable).
- Strong technical accounting expertise.
- Experience managing statutory reporting and audits.
- Significant corporate tax and indirect tax experience.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ability to interpret complex technical matters and communicate clearly.
- Ideally experience working within a large multi-entity or group environment.
