We are looking for a Sales Director to join our Consulting business in London. In this role, you will own the Consulting business commercial strategy, sales performance, and profitable growth including pipeline, forecasting, conversion, order intake, revenue, and gross profit.

You will lead Consulting sales teams and work across Go-to-Market, with Marketing, Finance, and the wider sales organisation to turn market demand into relevant propositions, strong customer outcomes, and predictable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing the Consulting sales strategy, translating the business plan into clear team targets.
  • Owning order intake, revenue, gross profit, pipeline coverage, conversion, forecast accuracy and gap-closure actions.
  • Increasing strategic engagements, average deal size, new-logo acquisition and growth within existing customers.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team of consultative sellers with clear accountability and performance standards.
  • Working with Consulting leadership and delivery teams to create propositions that reflect customer needs, market opportunity, delivery capability and capacity.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and acting as executive sponsor for selected strategic accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Significant senior sales leadership experience in technology consulting, professional services or a comparable services business.
  • A strong record of achieving demanding revenue, gross profit and order-intake targets and selling complex, outcome-led consulting engagements.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary sales teams and major bids, with strong pipeline, forecasting, qualification, pricing and negotiation capability.
  • A proven ability to build executive customer relationships and develop effective sales and go-to-market strategies.
  • A strong commercial and financial acumen, including margin, utilisation, delivery risk and return on investment.
  • Confidence with communication, influencing and leadership-team reporting, supported by effective use of CRM data and performance insight.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience developing joint go-to-market and co-sell motions in the Microsoft ecosystem, supported by a strong network across Microsoft sellers, specialists and partner teams.
  • Working knowledge of Partner Center, referrals, solution plays, Marketplace, incentives, designations and specialisations.
  • Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Power Platform, data, AI, cyber security or automation propositions.
  • Experience across multiple consulting commercial models, customer segments or sectors, with a strong market network.
  • Experience supporting integration, transformation or growth following acquisition.
