Project Manager - Managed Services in London

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful customer-facing delivery of infrastructure, Microsoft cloud, workplace, security and managed service projects across our customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial engagement through to operational handover, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget and ready to be successfully supported by operational teams. This role requires an individual who can confidently engage with customers, coordinate technical delivery teams, manage governance and ensure project outcomes are embedded into business-as-usual support services. The Project Manager will act as the single point of ownership throughout the delivery lifecycle, providing a seamless experience for customers and internal stakeholders alike. The successful candidates will be aligned to our offices in either Manchester or London.

Salary and Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between 50,000 - 60,000, depending on experience. Hybrid working is recognised, allowing employees to balance time in the office and time from home.

Responsibilities

• Project Management
  • Manage multiple projects from initiation to closure.
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as primary point of contact for project delivery.
• Risk and Issue Management
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Escalate concerns to maintain project outcomes.
• Operational Readiness
  • Ensure solutions are operationally ready before project closure.
  • Coordinate activities for acceptance into operational support.
• Communication and Reporting
  • Produce regular status reports for internal and customer-facing audiences.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and manage customer expectations.
• Governance and Process Adherence
  • Ensure adherence to project governance standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Demonstrable experience managing customer-facing IT infrastructure, cloud, or managed service projects.
• Experience coordinating Service Transition or operational onboarding activities.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience managing risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.

Desirable

• ITIL Foundation certification.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent.
• Experience using ServiceNow Project Management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including M365, Azure and Managed Services.
• Experience supporting customer onboarding and Acceptance into Service activities.
