Data Analyst Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
In this role, you will gather, validate, and analyse data from various sources to create clear and actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making for our Sipcom business.
Salary & Benefits
The budgeted salary for this role is between £40,000 - £50,000 a year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Design and Maintain Reports: Create and manage user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights.
- Data Validation: Ensure data accuracy and reliability by validating reporting data and investigating discrepancies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and develop practical dashboards and outputs.
- Automation of Processes: Enhance efficiency by improving and automating manual reporting processes using tools like Power BI, Excel, and Power Automate.
- Reporting and Presentation: Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and support operational performance through meaningful data insights.
- What Success Looks Like
- Timely Delivery of Reports: Successfully design and deliver a minimum of 5 key Power BI reports and dashboards that meet stakeholder requirements within the designated timelines.
- Data Accuracy Improvement: Achieve a data accuracy rate of at least 95% by validating and reconciling discrepancies in reporting data.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and feedback on dashboard usability.
- Automation of Reporting Processes: Automate at least 3 manual reporting processes, resulting in improved efficiency in data reporting.
- Insight Generation: Identify and present significant trends or risk areas through data analysis, leading to actionable insights for operational improvement.
- Customer Satisfaction Reporting: Develop and deliver a comprehensive customer satisfaction report, highlighting key metrics and trends to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar analytical role, with strong problem-solving skills to interpret data and present actionable insights.
- Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Server Reporting, and related tools, with experience in designing and maintaining accessible dashboards and reports.
- Experience and confidence in extracting, cleansing, transforming, and analysing data from various sources, coupled with a solid understanding of data quality, governance, and reporting controls.
- Ability to gather and translate reporting requirements from stakeholders into practical dashboards and outputs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Experience in automating reporting processes using tools like Power Automate, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort in data reporting.
This role will require you to undergo the Security Clearance (SC) process once in role, so for that reason we will ask you to confirm if you are a British passport holder with 5 years residency in the UK when you apply for this position.
