We are looking for a Group Head of PMO to join our business in London.

Position Overview

This is a rare opportunity to support a rapidly expanding international IT organisation at group level. In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and lead the Group Programme Management Office within the Group Finance department. This is a pivotal role that will involve providing central programme governance and integrated planning to ensure the successful delivery of finance transformation initiatives on time and within scope, and with the effective management of risk.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £70,000 - £90,000 a year, depending on experience. We recognise the benefits that remote and flexible working brings. We operate a hybrid working policy that allows our employees to balance time in the office and time from home. Each team within our organisation can decide how to implement this policy.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and leading the Group PMO function, reporting into Group Finance.
  • Implementing a structured framework for project governance, across all markets.
  • Defining roles, responsibilities and procedures for PMO operations.
  • Driving and reporting on gap closing initiatives across the group.
  • Utilising metrics to monitor the success of finance transformation programmes.
  • Managing governance structures for finance transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Facilitating effective stakeholder communications through regular steering forums, preparing agendas and decision logs.
  • Setting standards for PMO cadence and tooling to enhance stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Past experience of leading or setting up a PMO function.
  • A track record of managing a PMO operating across different markets.
  • A strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting rules.
  • Experience of operating within a finance transformation environment.
  • Confidence in managing relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and external advisors.
  • Experience of collaborating cross-functionally with non-technical and non-finance audiences to achieve project execution.
  • Comfort with working within ambiguity and uncertainty.
