Advancing People are recruiting for a permanent remote working Insurance Complaints Team Lead to join a rapidly expanding VC Backed Tech company who are using AI to help insurers process Claims.

To be considered for this Complaints Team Lead role you MUST have at least 5 years Insurance Team Lead experience in one of: Complaints / Fraud / Quality Assurance. You can live anywhere within the UK.

Our client has raised $16M+, and already manages claims for 30+ insurers across more than $200M in insurance premiums with aggressive growth plans. We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a talented Claims Department. This person will lead a team of expert Technical Claims Handlers, covering Complaints, Fraud, Quality Assurance, Recoveries and Payment Controls. This role is ideal for an experienced Insurance Complaints Team Lead who wants to build their career at a company that rewards performance, who is hungry to learn and grow fast with the business.

The Role:

  • Line management of a team of Technical Claims Handlers, including all HR and Performance management
  • Drive top performance and KPI achievement in your team
  • Claims workflow allocation and capacity planning to achieve high productivity and quality results
  • Quality Assurance checks and coaching to improve quality of technical claims team output
  • Maintain detailed and robust oversight of the technical claims portfolio, including the escalation of any risks

The Person:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an Insurance Claims Leadership Role managing +8 Direct Reports
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in at least one of: Complaints / Fraud / Quality Assurance
  • Previous experience leading in a start-up high-growth company
  • Deep expertise in claims handling and insurance best practices
  • Ability to use data to drive understanding and decision making
  • Experience coaching colleagues to achieve improved quality and productivity
  • Ability to inspire and achieve top performance from your team
  • Highly organised and able to self-prioritise workload for the benefit of business and customer
  • A team player, always willing to support colleagues to achieve the right results

This is a rare full-time Permanent position offering an annual salary of up to £55,000 + 15% Bonus + Equity, as well as very attractive company benefits. The role offers full flexibility to work from home - remote working 5 days a week (100% of the time).
