Who are we looking for? We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven and self-motivated sales professional with a passion for helping customers unlock value from Data and AI. You’ll be responsible for growing Advancing Analytics' commercial and mid-market customer base across the UK, primarily through new-logo acquisition. Most customers will be at the beginning of their modern data journey—building their first Lakehouse platform, migrating from legacy technologies or looking to accelerate existing programmes. Working alongside our Consulting and Solution Architecture teams, you'll help customers understand the right data foundations, shape practical Data and AI engagements and position Advancing Analytics as the specialist partner to deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll own a territory of approximately 50–100 accounts, making effective territory planning, prioritisation and pipeline generation critical to success.
What will you do? Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll own a defined territory of commercial and mid-market customers, with responsibility for generating qualified pipeline, winning new customers and managing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle. You’ll segment and prioritise accounts, lead discovery conversations, qualify opportunities and work closely with Consulting and Solution Architecture to shape customer engagements. You’ll balance a high level of outbound activity with a consultative sales approach while maintaining accurate forecasting in HubSpot. You’ll also collaborate closely with Marketing, Alliances and strategic partners including Databricks, Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud to generate and progress opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and develop a territory of 50–100 commercial and mid-market accounts.
- Create and execute territory and account plans based on opportunity, maturity and potential.
- Generate qualified pipeline and consistently secure new logos.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer priorities, current data capabilities and desired business outcomes.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to negotiation and contract signature.
- Work with Consulting and Solution Architecture to shape outcome-focused Data and AI engagements.
- Position Advancing Analytics' services and accelerators through compelling commercial propositions.
- Build relationships with business, data and technology stakeholders.
- Develop joint opportunities with Databricks and collaborate with Microsoft, AWS and other strategic partners.
- Ensure smooth handover into delivery while maintaining customer confidence.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and account information within HubSpot.
Skills / Approaches:
- Proven success in commercial or mid-market B2B sales.
- Strong new-business and pipeline generation capability.
- Experience managing and prioritising a broad sales territory.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Consultative sales approach focused on customer outcomes.
- Good understanding of modern Data & AI platforms (particularly Lakehouse architectures).
- Strong commercial ownership of pipeline, forecasting and revenue.
- Experience working with technology partners such as Databricks, Microsoft or AWS.
- Collaborative approach, working effectively across Sales, Marketing, Alliances, Consulting and Delivery.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- A growth mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-growing business.
