We’re embarking on a major transformation of our technical documentation, migrating a large library of product manuals from Microsoft Word into Adobe FrameMaker. This is a key project that will improve document quality, consistency, regulatory alignment, and long‑term efficiency.
To support this transition, we’re looking for an organised and detail‑focused individual who takes pride in accuracy and clear communication. You’ll play a direct role in ensuring our user documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to a smoother, smarter workflow for years to come.
As a Technical Documentation Assistant, you will help transfer existing Word based manuals into Adobe FrameMaker using our developing templates and workflows. You do not need prior FrameMaker experience—training will be provided—but you must be highly competent in Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
Key Responsibilities- Transfer existing product manuals from MS Word into Adobe FrameMaker.
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Apply templates, formatting rules, and style guidelines accurately.
- Manage multiple documentation tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
- Work closely with the technical authoring and approvals team to support smooth transition processes.
- Demonstrable administration experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on technical accuracy.
- Ability to learn new software tools quickly (including FrameMaker).
- Well organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
- Experience producing technical documentation.
- Previous exposure to Adobe FrameMaker or similar publishing tools.
This position is expected to last 6 months. Although this is advertised as a full time position, part time working will be considered for the right candidate.
