CAD Technician in Essex

In this role you will be you will be key in assisting our Design Engineers in the digitising of Electricity and Water Utility infrastructure projects.

From digitising budget design to as-laid records, you will ensure that drawings are accurate, compliant and delivered within agreed timescales.

In this role you will…

• Assist the Design Engineers & Technical Coordinators in delivering Electrical, Fibre and Water infrastructure design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, compliant and delivered within agreed timescales.
• Re-draft external design elements and hand sketches on to AutoCAD templates.
• Offer full drawing office support to our Clients, Technical and Operations teams.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Maintain our drawing record database.

You will need…

• Proven experience within an Auto CAD position – 2D is essential.
• To maintain keen attention to drawing detail.
• To produce and develop general arrangement drawings.
• Strong all-round IT skills including MS Suite.
• Analytical and evaluation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Qualified to A-level or equivalent or NVQ in a design field would be advantageous.
• AutoCAD qualification would be desirable.
• Experience within the utilities or construction sector is preferred.
