Purpose of the Role

The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers, ensuring high levels of customer service and compliance with all transport and safety regulations.

The role also includes supporting warehouse operations when not on deliveries.

The successful candidate will be reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining delivery schedules while ensuring all goods are handled with care and delivered accurately.

Main Duties

  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections in line with scheduled routes.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are secure and protected during transit.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
  • Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately and returned as required.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
  • Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with route planning and report any delays or issues affecting delivery schedules.
  • Support warehouse operations when required, including picking, packing, loading and stock control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Carry out install of various white goods and flat packed furniture items (upon completion of appropriate training).
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times. xgikmsk
