About Advanced Therapeutics (UK) Ltd:
Advanced Therapeutics (UK) Ltd (ATUK) is a UK-wide distributor of specialist medical devices based in Warwick in the West Midlands, with a particular focus on insulin pump therapy. Our hybrid closed loop system is one of the only systems cleared for use by children aged 1 and up and pregnant women.
Our mission is to source specialist medical devices that meet clinical needs, simplify insulin pump therapy and improve patient health and quality of life. We hope to introduce more of these devices to the UK so that those with Type 1 diabetes will benefit from them.
- Primary Objectives
To promote the company’s products to the target markets within the territory to maximise sales with an efficient control of costs and to provide training and back up support to medical centre staff and where required (and as appropriate) to their patients (end users) so that the products are used successfully.
To manage existing accounts in order to maximise sales, maintain relationships and provide outstanding service and support.
To manage and cultivate the sales process from new prospect through to after sales and support, including liaising with NHS finance, procurement and our own accounts department to ensure the smooth running of purchases, delivery, set up and training as well as ongoing support and patient review when required.
To act as a product trainer and provide training and education around the use and operation of our products and associated systems to both healthcare professionals and patients.
- Geographical Area
Principally the South West UK inc. Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Bath, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Hampshire.
It may be occasionally necessary to cover diabetes team meetings/ appointments/ exhibitions/ pump training and pump starts elsewhere in the UK.
On occasions it may be necessary for you to cover other areas of the UK to support and/or cover for colleagues off ill or on holiday.
The job involves extensive travelling and may require frequent stays away from home and occasional travel abroad.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities
To act at all times as a highly ethical, professional, reliable and dependable expert in the company’s products.
To proactively arrange appointments with diabetes medical & nursing professionals to discuss and promote the benefits of the company’s products (currently, insulin pump therapy, Hybrid Closed Loop therapy).
To arrange demonstrations of the Advanced Therapeutics (UK) Ltd products to medical & nursing professionals and patients, either 1:1 or in groups.
To attend study days, exhibitions and man exhibition stands mainly in the UK but also occasionally at international meetings outside the UK.
To run training workshops for diabetes medical & nursing professionals.
To carry out lunchtime presentations to diabetes teams using the appropriate presentation medium.
To run product training programmes for patients initiating pump therapy or HCL therapy with the company’s products when requested by the Diabetes team.
To contribute to the development of training materials and programmes and also promotional and educational items.
To provide weekly call reports to the line manager in addition to weekly activity/ market developments reports and monthly expense claims.
To provide quarterly sales plans to your line manager to be agreed and executed with clear goals and targets.
To be responsible for company equipment in your keeping
To use the budgetary resources e.g., the sample and promotional budgets that you are responsible for wisely and to the maximum benefit of the company without exceeding the budgetary limits.
To assist the Managing Director, or other colleagues in other tasks within reason, when requested.
- Compensation
Annual Salary £40k - 55k dependent on experience.
Discretionary Car Allowance paid monthly.
Discretionary Commission on Sale program paid monthly.
