Now is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing and award-winning developer of semiconductor sensor and detector devices, as their Applications Engineer. Based in Sheffield, you will join a small, and growing, team of Applications Engineers, working with Sales, FAE and factory applications team to solve and resolve customers’ technical queries.
With experience gained in a similar role, you will be responsible for customer Applications Support for the sensor, detector and photonic products. Through your work, you will develop applications notes, product training material and sales collateral in conjunction with marketing. There will be opportunities to travel and attend trade shows and travel to customer facilities to demonstrate products/RDKs and support customers.
We are looking for a BSc/BEng/Masters/PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Optoelectronics or Physics. Ideally you will have 5+ years of experience in the Photonics / Semiconductor &/ or Data / Telecommunications sectors.
