A leading developer of optical fibre based products and systems is now looking for a Senior Optical Development Engineer to join their growing site in Oxfordshire. We are looking for an experienced Optical Development Engineer who is looking for an exciting new role where you will join a team of multidisciplinary engineers to work on exciting next generation optoelectronics sensors.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and development of laser / fibre based optoelectronics devices. Ensuring delivery of complex projects is on time and to budget, you will support the development of the technology roadmap. You will be responsible for leading and working at all stages of the product life cycle, from initial customer enquiry to design, to prototype, sample, test, manufacturing and final delivery to customer.

Experience:As a Senior Engineer, you should have at least 5 years commercial experience in the development of fibre systems and optical sensors. You should also have a good understanding of fibre optic alignment techniques, and optical interferometric systems, coupled with a working knowledge of Python.
Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Optics or a related field is essential.
Additional Information:Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in the UK, without ever requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
Salary / benefits:Depend on Experience, £60k plus benefits.
