Senior Buyer sought for a large manufacturing site to the North of Bristol. Now is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing provider of high value precision machinery, where you can play a crucial part in the order placement and expediting process of various commodities.
Your responsibilities will include actioning purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders, and effectively communicating with suppliers to ensure seamless delivery. You will also be tasked with resolving delivery, invoice, and price discrepancies that may arise.
We are looking for a skilled buyer who possesses a proven track record in process improvement, exceptional people and supplier management skills, and a commitment to systematic compliance. The role is offered full time, fixed term for 12 months, with real potential to become permanent after initial 12 months. Working with a growing tech company, you will enjoy a range of generous benefits alongside a competitive salary, coupled with future development/progression opportunities.
Experience and Qualifications: You should have a purchasing/supply chain qualification such as CIPS Level 4, and a qualification in technical discipline. As an experienced Buyer, you will be familiar with MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards. You should have experience working in engineering/production environments driven by challenging deadlines and managing changes to ensure quality and delivery objectives are achieved. Your experience should include end-to-end complex manufacturing supply chains and Purchasing processes.
Additional Information: Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK without ever requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports/Visa will be requested for verification.
Salary / benefits: £45k plus generous benefits
