Owing to a successful period of continued growth, a Southampton based market leader in Optical technologies is now looking for a Team Leader.
Your responsibilities will include leading the Optical and Electronics Team to meet company objectives, and deadlines
You will trouble shoot and resolve problems with optical lab equipment.
Working closely with the Operations Planner, you will ensure the production schedules are implemented effectively and delivered on time and in budget. Any discrepancies should be reported to management.
In this hands-on role you will also be involved in the assembly and test a range of Optical products.
In addition, you will support the transition of new products from NPD/NPI into production.

Experience:
As the successful Team Leader, you should have previously worked in a similar optical / laser / fiber manufacturing environment and be familiar with building free space optical devices.
Your experience in Optics should include experience using lasers or laser diodes, assembly and testing of photonic products, and the building fibreoptic devices.
Qualifications:
Ideally you should have a relevant degree or gained equivalent knowledge through working in a similar industry.
Additional information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and / or Visas will be requested for verification.
Candidates MUST hold a full clean UK Driving Licence.
Salary: c£40-50k, plus benefits
