My client, who is a world leader in the Electronic Instrumentation sector, now seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Electronics Engineer to join their dedicated Aftersales, Repair & Servicing team.
Based at my client’s facility close to Nottingham, you will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and recalibrating a diverse range of electronics, including custom and special designs. In addition to this you will act as a key technical bridge for our customers, managing repair communications and resolving standard aftersales queries.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
- Technical, Repair & Diagnostic Support
- Fault Diagnosis: Analyse and troubleshoot component-level faults and failures on returned electronic instruments.
- Repair & Rework: Perform high-quality repairs, soldering, and component replacements on standard product lines as well as bespoke, special-design probes.
- Recalibration: Test and recalibrate repaired instruments to ensure they meet strict original manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of faults found, parts used, and actions taken for quality control tracking.
- Customer Communication & Aftersales Support
- Case Management: Own the communication lifecycle for customer repairs, from initial receipt and assessment to final dispatch.
- Technical Query Resolution: Provide clear, professional, and timely responses to standard technical queries received by the aftersales department.
- Updates: Keep customers informed regarding repair timelines, cost estimates, and root-cause findings.
- Process Improvement & Continuous Development
- Production Optimisation: Assist the Senior Electronics Engineer in identifying failure trends and implementing continuous improvements to our manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Skill Progression: Actively shadow and learn from the Senior Electronics Engineer to expand your design and high-level engineering capabilities.

Qualifications:
It is expected that you will have a Degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or similar, with the ability to fault find, and repair electronics to component level. It is expected that you will have strong soldering/repair skills.
Salary: c£30-35k per annum
Additional information: Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK, without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and/or Visas will be requested for verification.
