Join a rapidly growing developer of Fiber-Optic products, in Suffolk, as their Junior Manufacturing Engineer. We are looking for candidates who have either completed an engineering/manufacturing apprenticeship or degree, to support the manufacturing of existing products.
Your main responsibilities will be to provide daily hands-on Engineering support to the manufacturing team, ensuring manufacturing processes meet stringent customer expectations in terms of specification, timescales, cost and reliability. Working in all aspects of manufacturing, you will support the creation and update of documentation (i.e. work instructions and process cards), improve manufacturing yields, product reliability and overall production efficiencies.
You will be responsible for commissioning and maintenance of tooling/equipment, and where appropriate identify new equipment needs, including opportunities for investments in automation and/or new processing technologies. From time to time, you will attend customer and supplier liaison meetings providing technical assistance to customers and Sales. As you grow in the role, you will assist in the training of manufacturing personnel when required.

Experience and Qualifications: You should have technical expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, with a professional qualification (University Degree) or an ONC/HNC and background in engineering. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9001.
Additional Information: Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK without ever requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
Salary / benefits: Competitive salary in the region £30-40k depending on experience.
