We are now looking for an experienced Electrical Designer who is ready to step into a Principal level role and shape the future of engineering delivery. In this key role, you will drive innovation, improve standards, and lead the transition to smarter, more efficient ways of working. Beyond design, you’ll be a technical authority and mentor—raising capability across the team and ensuring solutions are world class, compliant, and right first time.
As Principal Electrical Design Engineer you will lead the design, development and implementation of electrical control systems for complex machinery ensuring compliance with EN60204–33, EN13849, UL, CSA, and CE marking requirements. Now is an exciting time to join a growing tech company, where you can make a real difference and be part of their future growth. In addition to a competitive salary, my client can offer a generous benefits package, and the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days per week in the office.
Experience: As Principal Electrical Designer, you should have a proven track record in Electrical Design, designing machine control systems, and strong team leadership experience. Full proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / LT 2014 / Solid Edge / CAD is essential for this role. Also essential, is a strong working knowledge of EN60204–33, EN13849, UL, CSA, and CE marking.
Qualifications: A relevant Engineering Degree and ideally a Postgrad qualification in a relevant discipline.
Salary: Competitive salary in the region of c£70k, plus generous benefits.
Job Term: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid (3 days onsite).
Additional Information: Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
