Job Outline: My client, who is a market leading manufacturer of Electrical Instrumentation, products and solutions, is now seeking a BDM to promote their products across the Southwest of the UK. Working from a home office, you will drive profitable growth through the identification, development and conversion of new business opportunities across my client’s product portfolio. You will develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve agreed sales, margin and growth targets, proactively identifying, qualifying and securing new business opportunities within target markets. You will manage the full sales process, including prospecting, presentations, quotations, negotiations and contract closure. In addition to this, you will maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts, activity reports and market intelligence. You will also represent the company at customer meetings, trade exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities. Within the role, you will develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise across my clients’ products and solutions, and as such you will act as a technical adviser to customers, advising on product selection, installation requirements, application suitability and system integration.

Experience and Qualifications: You should have proven experience in a similar external sales, business development or technical sales role, selling into commercial or industrial markets. Candidates with exposure to products such as Transformers, Power Monitors, Inverters, Transducers etc will have a strong advantage. Ideally you will have a minimum of an HNC or higher in a relevant electrical subject.

Additional Information: Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
