We’re looking for a proactive and driven Management Accountant to support our Commercial Finance team and FP&A Manager. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working—you’ll split your on-site time between our Bradford and Sheffield locations, supporting both teams 1 day a week. The salary is between £40,000–£45,000, depending on your experience. We’re big on personal growth too—whether you’re pursuing a qualification or want to sharpen your skills, we’ll support your development every step of the way.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate month-end and flash reporting, while also contributing to wider business performance through insight and analysis. You’ll get involved in high-impact projects, helping to strengthen our financial systems and controls. Your ability to spot trends, understand the story behind the numbers, and identify the key drivers of cost and revenue will be vital.

What will our Management Accountant be doing:

  • Own month-end reporting for your sites – deliver accurate, on-time reports with real insight behind the numbers
  • Prepare and post journals, and produce monthly P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Review GRNI and general ledger entries with a keen eye for detail
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items efficiently
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver daily financial KPIs and highlight key P&L drivers
  • Maintain and improve financial governance – support SOP compliance and implementation
  • Raise customer invoices and investigate queries to ensure smooth resolution
  • Support audit processes and ensure all purchasing, invoicing, and capex policies are followed

What we need from our Management Accountant:

  • CIMA / ACCA qualified or part qualified
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Sage 200 is desirable
  • Experience of month end accounts preparation and reporting
  • Analytical mindset, commercial awareness, and confidence to work with our stakeholders
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret operational data and financial models
  • Capability of working on cross functional assignments and developing client relationships alongside multiple stakeholders

What you will get in return as our Management Accountant:

  • At Advanced, we are committed to providing all our employees with a thorough onboarding experience from their first day and throughout the initial phase of their careers. This encompasses continuous training and development opportunities.
  • You will be part of a department that fosters a transparent and collaborative team environment aligned with our company values.
  • We understand the significance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, which is why we offer a hybrid working model for our office staff.
  • We recognise the importance of individuals wellbeing and being able to take time away from the business to recharge so we offer colleagues the ability to be able to purchase additional holidays on top of their 25 days.
  • Our rewards portal offers impressive savings on supermarkets, travel services, fashion retailers amongst many other categories available!
  • We prioritise the health and wellbeing of all our colleagues by providing complimentary annual flu vaccinations, eye care vouchers to assist with eye tests or eyewear expenses, and discounted access to private healthcare insurance for both medical and dental services.
