About The Role
We’re currently looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday tramping. This is a great opportunity for drivers who enjoy varied work, consistent hours, and being part of a supportive and well‑organised operation. Weekly pay is made every Friday. The role involves nationwide deliveries and collections, with drivers typically tramping throughout the week and keeping the vehicle for that period. The position is based on a 50‑hour basic working week, with overtime available and paid for any hours worked beyond this. Depending on planning and customer requirements, the role may include day and/or night runs, and a night‑out allowance is paid when staying away. While the role is predominantly tramping, there may be occasions where drivers are required to return to base overnight due to fleet maintenance requirements or the nature of the work profile. Outside of this, drivers are expected to night out in secure truck stops or services, with safety and compliance prioritised at all times. Start times can vary depending on routes and delivery schedules, with typical shifts averaging around 10 hours per day as part of the contracted 50 hours. This role offers stability, flexibility, and long‑term security within a permanent position.
What We Need From You
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, with CPC and Digital Tachograph card in place.
- For insurance purposes, no more than 6 penalty points, with no unspent endorsements (excluding speeding).
- A solid understanding of drivers’ hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
- A professional, safety‑first mindset and pride in doing the job properly.
- Reliable, flexible, and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Previous tramping experience is an advantage, but confident drivers new to tramping are also welcome.
