Are you an NDT technician looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced NDT technician on behalf of our client who are industry leaders in high integrity fabrication, welding and tube manipulation.
Responsibilities:
- Performing various methods of NDT Inspection - DPI, MPI, Visual and Radiography
- Report findings on NDT Control Cards
- Hold authority to stop production, if necessary, where a fault, defect or problem is identified
Job Duties:
- Perform NDT to customer specifications and procedures.
- Maintain inspection reports that are filed and up to date.
- Liaise with Production Manager and Supervisors.
- Work alongside third-party Inspectors.
- Instruct other staff on findings and possible rectification.
- Inspection of rework if required.
- Assist in the control of calibration.
- Responsibility to health and safety and COSHH.
- Maintain daily records and checks on X-ray Bay.
- Liaise with RPA (Radiation Protection Adviser).
- Write local rules, in line with any changes or recommendations.
- Control of dose records and RPA safety.
- Responsibility for control of IRR 17 regulations.
Requirements:
- PCN Level 2 / ANST or similar qualification within DPI, MPI, Visual and/or Radiography.
- If you have Level 1 qualifications in 2 or more or above, this role will offer training and support for the right candidate.
- Background in welded component inspection, ideally from heavy engineering, power, nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical, or agricultural industries.
- Experience in maintaining inspection reports that are filed and up-to-date.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
Hours:
- 7.54am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday
- 7.54am-1.30pm Fridays
