Are you an experienced Tig Welder looking for a new opportunity? At Advanced Resourcing we specialise in supplying temporary and permanent staff within manufacturing & Engineering across the UK. We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join a pressure vessel specialist in the West Midlands area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding, particularly with 6G TIG processes, and have the ability to work with pressure vessels. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
Responsibilities:
- Coded welding on pipe and plate
- 2G or 6G Tig Welding position on pipe
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and X-ray standard
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience within the pressure vessel industry
- Confident on 6G Tig welding
- Coded qualifications is advantageous
- The ability to butt welds (tube to tube) and pass X-ray. DMI and MPI
The Package:
- Temp to perm
- 12 week contract
- £17.50 - £18.50 per hour
- Day shift
