We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to a manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Duties
- Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts according to technical specifications and safety guidelines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
- Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and finishing metal surfaces
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures
- Troubleshoot minor issues with welding equipment and perform basic maintenance as required
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding;
- Strong knowledge of structural welding techniques and standards
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material handling
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Good understanding of safety procedures related to welding and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
The Package
- £15- £16 pay rate
- 12 week temporary to permanent contract
- Working hours 07:30 -16:30 Monday to Thursday, early finish on Friday
