Responsibilities
- Ownership of all aspects of project programming and project controls
- Development and maintenance of detailed project and tender programmes
- Delivery of period programme updates, progress reporting and performance analysis
- Application of Earned Value Management, cost and schedule analysis, trend analysis and change control
- Identification and communication of programme risks, delays and mitigation strategies
- Production of concise project performance data, schedules and reports
- Attendance at and contribution to client progress meetings
- Providing guidance and supervision to junior planners as required
- Ensuring senior management have clear visibility of programme status and issues
About You
- Strong background in rail and/or highways infrastructure projects
- Proven experience planning large, complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programmes
- Deep understanding of how projects are designed, procured, constructed and commissioned
- Expertise in Primavera P6 (essential)
- Solid knowledge of Project Controls techniques including EVM, CPI/SPI, change control and work package management
- Experience across rail systems including signalling, P-Way, structures, E&P and telecoms
- Confident presenting complex information to clients and senior stakeholders
- Experience working on projects up to £50m, including claims and schedule risk analysis
- Familiarity with NEC contracts
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Civil) preferred
- APM membership desirable
