We are working with a highly reputable global ship owner/operator to appoint a Marine Superintendent to join their London-based operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Master Mariner, Chief Officer or existing Marine Superintendent with LPG experience looking to take the next step in a hybrid working environment within a well-established and internationally recognised organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient marine operations of a fleet of LPG vessels. This is a dynamic, hands-on operational role offering a balance of office-based collaboration, hybrid flexibility, and occasional international travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe navigation, cargo and ballast operations of assigned vessels
  • Provide operational support and guidance to Masters and onboard teams
  • Review cargo plans, passage planning, and operational procedures
  • Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, IGC)
  • Act as a key point of contact for charterers and internal commercial teams
  • Attend vessels globally to support operations, inspections, and audits
  • Support and respond to vetting inspections including SIRE and CDI
  • Participate in incident investigations and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with technical, crewing, and HSEQ teams

About You

  • Master Mariner (Unlimited) or Chief Officer with a valid Certificate of Competency
  • Strong experience onboard LPG carriers (senior rank preferred)
  • Previous shore-based experience in a marine/operations role is advantageous
  • Solid understanding of gas carrier operations and cargo handling systems
  • Familiar with industry regulations and vetting processes (SIRE/CDI)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required
