Vessel Operations Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Vessel Operations Coordinator to join a leading international Dry Bulk shipping organisation based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially minded individual looking to develop a long-term career within the maritime sector.

Working closely with Chartering Managers, Masters, Agents and Brokers, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of Dry Bulk vessels, ensuring voyages are executed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operation of Dry Bulk vessels from fixture through to voyage completion.
  • Review charter parties, fixture recaps and voyage instructions.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, positions and voyage performance.
  • Liaise with Masters, Agents, Brokers and Chartering teams to ensure efficient voyage execution.
  • Assist with bunker planning, freight invoicing, hire statements and voyage accounting activities.
  • Support laytime calculations, demurrage claims and operational reporting.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Support the resolution of operational, performance and cargo-related claims.

About You

  • Experience within shipping, maritime operations, logistics or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Exposure to Dry Bulk shipping would be advantageous.
