Technology Transformation Programme Manager – Permanent – Scotland – £ Excellent package
One of Scotland’s ship owners is recruiting for a Technology Transformation Programme Manager to join their team.
The Technology Transformation Programme Manager is responsible for providing leadership, management, coordination, and direction to teams delivering Technology enabled change projects as part of a programme of change.
The primary goal is to ensure the successful delivery of Technology Transformation projects that enhance business processes, systems, and digital capabilities. This role requires a mix of programme management, stakeholder engagement, and broad expertise/understanding across the IT technology stack i.e. Infrastructure & Cloud, Enterprise Applications, Software Development. Data & Analytics Security & Emerging Technologies e,g. IOT & AI.
Other key responsibilities will include (but not limited to);
- Lead day-to-day delivery of the Technology Transformation programme, including integrated planning, budgeting, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee programme-level issue resolution and escalate organisational-level concerns to the SRO.
- Provide decision-ready information to governance boards and support effective decision-making, risk response, and issue resolution.
- Define and manage the programme budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost planning is risk-informed.
- Develop and oversee resourcing and delivery strategies aligned with the programme plan.
- Collaborate with the Business Change Manager to design and maintain the delivery plan.
- Ensure alignment of delivery approaches with programme strategy, including knowledge management and learning.
- Support change adoption and foster a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing across the programme.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational information requirements, including privacy standards.
- Develop and implement the programme’s assurance strategy and plan.
- Support assurance activities, integrate findings into decision-making, and help implement accepted recommendations.

Requirements:
- MSP Practitioner certification (required); degree or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Extensive experience managing large-scale (£3M+) Technology Transformation programmes, delivering to scope, budget, and benefits.
- Proven track record of successful programme delivery, embedding measurable outcomes into business operations.
- Strong ability to lead teams in matrix environments and manage multiple suppliers.
- Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and operating at Executive/SRO level.
- Demonstrated resilience, versatility, and energy in complex, high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of public procurement principles (advantageous).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service ethos and commitment to high-quality delivery.
- Experience in assurance, governance, and stakeholder management.
