Strategic Sourcing Manager

Contract: 6 months

Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid

Rate: £600 per day Umbrella

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and tender activities across complex, high-value procurement programmes within a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and tender activities.
  • Manage and support a team of sourcing professionals.
  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with category plans.
  • Ensure procurement activity and documentation meet governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on procurement policy, compliance and assurance.
  • Work with senior stakeholders, governance and assurance teams.
  • Support reporting and wider management activities.

About you:

  • Strong public sector procurement experience is essential.
  • Proven team management and leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of governance, assurance and compliance.
  • PA23 experience/training is desirable.
  • MCIPS or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong commercial, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Infrastructure, engineering or rail experience would be advantageous.
  • Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
