ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Financial Accountant. This role co‑ordinates the delivery of financial accounting across the Agency, ensuring that processes are effective, a robust financial control environment is maintained, and value for money is obtained.
The Role
- Running the monthly lease accounting process, including manual monthly journals, reconciliation of lease model balances, and reconciliation of combined lease balances.
- Maintenance and development of existing lease models.
- Quarterly review of transactions to identify potential new leases and changes to existing leases.
- Liaise and work with Finance Business Partners on lease accounting requirements.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, deliver to deadline, and manage/work on concurrent tasks.
- Proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Good inter‑personal skills and communication to a non‑financial community are essential, including verbal and written communication.
Requirements
- AAT qualified or active studier, and/or qualified/part‑qualified CCAB professional qualification.
- Experience of balance sheet accounting.
- Demonstrable experience of communicating technical accounting principles to a non‑finance audience.
- Ability to complete reconciliations involving manipulation of large volumes of data and associated problem solving.
- Intermediate knowledge of using Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Experience of using other Microsoft Office products, including Word.
