6 Months initial contract. Minimum of 4 days per week on site in Bristol. £68 per hour (Inside IR35).

My client, in the defence industry, are looking for an SC Cleared Software Product Support Engineer to join their fast-paced team on an initial 6 month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in-service missile-system middleware solutions.
  • Investigate and fix issues as they arise.
  • Debugging and engineering investigation.
  • Discuss solutions with customers.

Requirements:

  • Experience with C or C++ (At least one of these is essential), Ada, and/or JavaScript, shell scripting languages with a solid background in software engineering.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Linux OSs (Redhat and/or Ubuntu) including Kernel configuration and Kernel test.
  • A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to understand and solve complex software problems.
  • Clear communication of technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with a team in a collaborative environment.
