Overview: As the Product Delivery Manager for TLS, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of digital solutions that enable Through Life Support capabilities across the product lifecycle. The position will own the end-to-end delivery of DE solutions supporting TLS products and services, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, governance requirements, and international standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery and continuous improvement of digital engineering products and services that enable TLS (e.g., PLM-integrated toolsets, data models, workflows, dashboards, and interfaces).
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on digital engineering solutions for TLS, supporting deployment, configuration, and optimization of lifecycle processes across design, build, operate, and upgrade phases.
  • Advise engineering teams on best practices for digital continuity, data quality, and supportability-by-design, ensuring alignment to IPS principles and lifecycle review requirements.
  • Define, implement, and maintain the processes, methods, and work instructions necessary to utilize the solutions, including integration points with PLM, ERP, MBSE, simulation, and Parent Company or Domain capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with agreed quality, performance, security, and assurance targets.
  • Manage upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning across the product lifecycle with clear change control, backward compatibility strategies, and data migration plans.
  • Establish the Product Line team, confirming roles and capacity required to deliver and sustain the digital TLS solutions (product management, solution architecture, data, integration, DevSecOps, service).
  • Align with other Product Delivery leads to ensure coherent cross-product planning, shared standards, and joint dependency management, especially for PLM and digital thread integrations.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within defence or aerospace, preferably in digital engineering or product lifecycle management.
  • Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Service Management certification or experience (e.g., ITIL).
  • Project or Programme Management qualification (e.g., APM, PRINCE2) or demonstrable experience managing complex deliveries.
  • First-hand knowledge of digital engineering technologies and toolsets relevant to TLS such as PLM, MBSE, data integration, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience delivering digital solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of TLS processes, supportability principles, and data governance across the product lifecycle.
  • Understanding of Through Life Support concepts and their digital enablement.
