An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a growing highways team following increased capital investment in preventative highway maintenance programmes.

We are seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Engineer / Project Supervisor with strong civil engineering knowledge and hands-on experience in preventative treatments including surface dressing, micro-asphalt, and slurry surfacing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent highway maintenance schemes
  • Supervise Clerks of Works and oversee contractors on site
  • Ensure specification compliance, quality standards, and programme delivery
  • Make sound engineering decisions relating to highways maintenance works
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities across live projects
Essential Experience
  • Preventative highway maintenance experience (surface dressing, micro-asphalt, slurry surfacing)
  • Strong civil engineering and contractor management background
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience overseeing quality and specification adherence
Desirable
  • Level 3 Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Local authority/highways maintenance background
  • GIS familiarity and standard IT skills

Location: Doncaster

Rate: £45 per hour Umbrella
