Responsibilities

  • Act as the accountable authority for lifting assurance.
  • Standardise lifting governance across sites and ensure alignment with Safe to Start and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain lifting policy, procedures, and documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and approve lift plans and associated safety documentation, including contract lifts.
  • Oversee and supervise complex lifting operations when required.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance on lifting matters.
  • Train and develop a designated staff member to Appointed Person competency level.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, reviews, and working groups.

  • Proven experience as an Appointed Person (Lifting Operations).
