Newcastle upon Tyne Full-Time No working from home possible
Advanced Resource Managers

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Parts Operations Supervisor to take ownership of a growing spare parts function within a Marine Technical Business.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We're looking for a leader who can drive continuous improvement, develop the team, increase proactive sales activity, strengthen customer relationships, and enhance operational performance.

You'll lead from the front, combining hands-on involvement with strategic thinking to build a high-performing parts operation.

The Opportunity

As Parts Operations Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the parts function while identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase revenue, and enhance customer service.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, you'll play a key role in shaping the future direction of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the Parts team, creating a high-performance culture
  • Drive improvements in customer service, efficiency, and departmental performance
  • Increase proactive sales activity through quotation follow-up, dormant account reactivation, and upselling opportunities
  • Manage customer and supplier relationships, acting as the key escalation point when required
  • Oversee parts orders from enquiry through to completion
  • Monitor KPIs, pipeline activity, margins, and departmental performance
  • Implement and develop processes to improve service levels and commercial outcomes
  • Work closely with Operations, Service, Workshop, and Commercial teams to maximise opportunities
  • Ensure accurate use of CRM and ERP systems across the department

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience within parts, aftermarket, engineering, industrial, automotive, marine, or technical product environments
  • Previous leadership experience with a track record of developing and motivating teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business growth
  • Experience driving operational improvements and implementing new ways of working
  • Confident managing customer relationships, supplier negotiations, and escalations
  • Strong ERP/CRM system experience
  • A hands-on leader who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation while driving strategic improvements
  • Marine, offshore, power generation, engineering, industrial, defence or commercial vehicle sectors
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, rotating equipment, mechanical components or OEM parts
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Business Central experience
  • Understanding of international parts supply and logistics

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to genuinely shape and develop a department
  • High visibility role with real influence across the business
  • Combination of leadership, commercial responsibility, and operational improvement
  • Join a business focused on growth, customer service, and continuous improvement
