We are seeking a qualified NEC4 Supervisor to join an integrated delivery team on a major highways infrastructure project located on the A303 near Podimore, Somerset. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles within the highways sector, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to site supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Fulfil the duties of Supervisor as set out in NEC4 ECC contracts
- Develop familiarity with the scheme design and raise queries around constructability, safety, and quality
- Review and agree on Inspection and Test Plans; witness on-site testing and commissioning
- Identify and notify defects in accordance with the contract
- Verify the standards of work and materials in compliance with contract specifications
- Monitor progress and provide advisory input on risks and issues
- Submit weekly progress reports covering safety, quality, and completion status
- Maintain detailed site inspection, test, and audit records
- Attend site and off-site meetings and inspections as required
- Collaborate with the delivery team to resolve technical issues and ensure best practices
- NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation (essential)
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience with the design and construction of highways infrastructure
- 5+ years in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication, reporting, and client-facing skills
- Practical understanding of the DMRB and Specification for Highway Works
- Previous experience in National Highways projects preferred
