Metrology Dimensional Analysis Engineer
Crewe
Contract – 10 Months
£34.85 per hour
ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Metrology Dimensional Analysis Engineer, Responsible for all activities of a designated area of the property, vehicle or parts including but not limited to, building & measurement of components, interrogation & analysis of results, defining the root cause analysis of problems & communicating conclusions.
The Role:
- Responsible for planning and managing project related activities on a daily basis for designated area
- Responsible for reporting of status of activities in local area
- Works cross functional to deliver project requirements for the department
- Awareness of working with suppliers (internal & external) to maturate the quality status of parts and systems
- Ability to use suitable measurement equipment to dimensionally measure, assess and create measurement reports for parts & sub systems
- Ability to interrogate fitment process during building of system, property or vehicle and basic understanding of reasons for deviation
Requirements:
- HNC in an Engineering discipline / Completion of recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Working knowledge in the use optical & tactical metrology equipment
- Working knowledge of Reference points system, Engineering drawing, GD&T.
- Basic knowledge in CAD & Engineering based software in particular Catia & KVS
- Comprehensive computer literacy in particular Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
- National Physical Laboratory relevant module Training or appropriate previous experience
