We are seeking a commercially minded VAT Senior Manager / Associate Director to join our client’s growing VAT practice. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with business development and client leadership in a collaborative, ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of VAT advisory and compliance services for a varied and complex client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Play an active role in business development, including identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and expanding existing client relationships.
- Build and maintain strong client networks, proactively spotting VAT planning opportunities and areas of risk mitigation.
- Provide expert advice on complex VAT matters, including cross-border transactions, partial exemption, restructuring, and supply chain optimisation.
- Work closely with Partners and Directors to drive growth of the VAT offering and enhance the firm’s market profile.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting both technical development and commercial awareness.
- Stay at the forefront of VAT legislation and market developments, translating changes into practical, value-adding advice for clients.
Requirements
- ACA and/or CTA qualified, with significant UK VAT advisory experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT, with exposure to complex and advisory-led work.
- Proven ability to build and manage senior client relationships, with a commercial and solutions-focused mindset.
- Demonstrable interest or experience in business development and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and work collaboratively across teams.
